On 6 September 2015, H.E. Mr. Peerasak Chantavarin, Ambassador of Thailand to Egypt, presided over the “ 6th Thai Cooking Class in Egypt” organized by the Royal Thai Embassy in cooperation with the Egyptian Chefs Association to 21 hotel chefs in Hurghada at Sawatdi Restaurant, Sindbad Hurghada Hotel.
Chef Jessadaporn of Sawatdi Restaurant demonstrated and taught the 21 participants to cook 6 Thai food and dessert namely; beef spicy salad, shrimp spring roll, seafood soup with chili paste, green curry with chicken, stir fried beef with basil, and Thai sago with cantaloupe. The chefs enjoyed their learning and appreciated the Thai cooking class.
The cooking class has helped to promote the popularity of Thai cuisine in Egypt and a way in understanding the Thai culture.
